Class Description

Wire wrapping is one of the oldest and most versatile techniques in jewelry making. It involves using thin, flexible wire—typically made of copper, silver, or gold—to secure and embellish stones, beads, or other components without the use of soldering or adhesives. The wire is carefully wrapped, coiled, and twisted to form intricate designs, settings, and connections.
This method is especially popular among hobbyists and artisans because it requires minimal tools: usually just pliers and cutters. Wire-wrapped jewelry can range from simple pendants and rings to elaborate, sculptural pieces. The technique allows for a lot of creativity and personalization, making each piece unique.
Wire wrapping is suitable for beginners but also offers enough complexity for experienced makers to develop advanced, artistic designs. Popular projects include wire-wrapped gemstone pendants, bracelets, earrings, and rings.
